I think it's more the way we lost than the fact we lost.

Blowing a 14-0 lead two weeks in a row (the ninth time this season we have led by ten or more and then lost).

Not being able to score another point after leading 14-0 two weeks in a row.

Stuff ups by some of the usual culprits (Toups, Guerra and Friend) leading directly to their tries.

Then there is the fact that we have come second-last.

I would say people are entitled to moan a bit.

Broncos played like they wanted us to win and couldn't play worse for large periods of the game yet we still lost. Add to that we had about 65% possession in first half man.

Also it was stupid pot plant mistakes from our so called Rep players which gifted them the game.

Key players out then playing with 15 brought us undone.

Pearce close to best on ground.

I know its not the right forum/thread to be positive but how about the pace of Joey Manu?

After his Bev French stunner...he has a cuppa then decides to chase the Horse down...and nails it albeit an ankle tap...but still.

Doesn't even "look" fast but his chasing career says otherwise.

I understand the frustration and all your points are very valid.

I was one that expecting a very poor performance and a big loss. Whilst I was using foul words in the second half at my tv screen mainly towards the same culprits that you rightly named, I was also pleasantly surprised by the fighting spirit, line speed in defence, commitment of our players despite being undermanned leading into the game and then having to play 2 second rowers at centres for most of the game, latrell coming back onto the field to help his teammates despite being clearly injured etc etc. Moaning a bit is one thing but some people (not you) reacting like the world is about to end after that game are being way over the top in their reactions.

Can you tell me the other 7 games we have led by 10 or more Surely nine is an exaggeration more like 5 maybe 6 still not good enough though Ive got Canberra Canterbury Parramatta Sharks Broncos and maybe the Warriors game but not sure on that

The middles absolutely killed it. JWH, Moa & Napa were awesome in that opening 30 minute stint.

We just lacked the class on the edges when we were in good ball to capitalise on the territory our middles earned us. Pearce & Watson just had no options in attack and that's not being critical of Ryan Matterson who was playing his first game in the second row, Isaac Liu who isn't a second rower and we even had to slot Mitch Frei in there with Guerra in the centres at one point.

I was really happy with the performance, just no the result. We deserved so much more but it's hard to be critical given the circumstances. Both the Broncos first two tries were against the run of play and out of nothing. The next 2 replays showed probably should've been referred to the bunker and at least one over-turned. But you get that with Cummins, he's a shocking ref.
