  • We are a totally different team

Without Guerra, did anyone miss the holes he leaves in defence, hitups you could time with a sundial, the way he hogs the ball, the pot plant penalties and his at least one guaranteed knock on a match? I honestly believe we are a 12-18 point better team without him there.

We are also a different team when we have JWH, Cordner and Pearce on the paddock and fully fit!

I agree 100% but it's bittersweet after Trent said he would be here next year

I theorize that him not being there opened up the freedom and speed of the team. Didn't stifle the backline as usual, and pearce was able to throw those zinger passes left and right.

Let's see if the dynamics change when he returns

Robbo has rocks in his head if he thinks Guerra still has something to offer the Roosters. It could end up costing thr dude his job after next year if that leaden weight plays with us next year.

Eventually you get sick of playing alongside passengers. Especially in a game as physical as RL.

We were also a different team when we had Maloney and Jennings.

Yep. Massive difference. Robbo's had a lot of unfair criticism for this year. Anyone would have struggled without those 3.

Instead of Guerra taking the ball out wide and stifling the attack we finally had backline movements and space to move. SKD was a different player yesterday because of this and showed he's worth. Guerra has to go

His dumping could be the boot up the ass he needs
He was great for us a few years back, started to loose form at the back end of the year and is now horribly out of form, but if he wants to be here will may see the old Guerra return to form. I really hope so because you can never have too many quality players in your roster and he is that, despite his efforts this season.

Well you can because there is a salary cap, so you would rather that $500k spent elsewhere than on Guerra. I do realise we will be lucky to get someone to pay more than $200k for him next year. We are so much better off defensively with Aubbo playing in the Second Row and to add to that he is an 80 minute player like Cordner.

We need to use some money to get another front rower to give support to JWH and Napa. Evans isn't cutting it and Moa will be gone by seasons end. Liu is definitely an option next year to cover Moa there and bring in Butcher to play 20 minutes whilst SST needs a breather at Lock. SST is too good to play only 40 minutes a week.

We are only a different team because after Geurra was dropped the players now realise they are accountable. And it's about time.

Only problem with SKD in the centres is that he can't draw and pass. This in his tenth season of first grade.
