Kane Evans charged with dangerous contact

I'm curious to how you all feel about the Kane Evans penalty. I thought there was nothing wrong with the tackle, he hit him in the follow through, he got him in the chest, he wasn't in the air and he wrapped his arms. I didn't think it was a penalty, let alone he would be charged.

But that's the game these days. He's basically been charged for hitting a guy too hard.

I'm biased, but to me there was nothing in it. He charged at a half, who kicked the ball just before he got there.

It wasn't late, it wasn't malicious and he didn't use his shoulder.

It was sensational more than it was late.

I'm not surprised it's something the match committee have picked up, they're extremely reactive to media & public pressure as opposed to being a unit that's consistent and based on strong integrity - which is what they should be.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him get rubbed out for a couple weeks.

I was happy for the penalty to be given. I thought it was late. Definitely wasn't high and doesn't warrant a charge.

His was essentially a 2 or 3 week suspension that ended out much larger due to a stack of loading.
