Not true. There was an off field discretion on Daly M night last year. Yet Jake remained captain.

Well he definitely seems to have the passion and performances on the field to back it up. He is also usually the one trying to fire up the troops behind the goal posts and seems to unload some pretty fiery sprays.

So who's captain for the half a season when Cordner is either playing rep footy or injured? JWH is a shadow of the player he was before his injury and needs to concentrate on his finding his own form rather than anything else, so he's not an option. Maubs was tested as captain a few years ago and for whatever reason was cast aside. Pearce is also not an option.
