I don't agree. I like Fergo and there is no doubting his talent. However, his performances this year in both attack and defense have been sub-par in my opinion. He finally rushed up in defense last night and actually made a tackle. Amazing

Spot on. In fact one time he did shut down a QLD right side raid he did it so well the ref thought he must have been offside. He wasn't, it was just fantastic anticipation and acceleration a great read and tackle.

Having said that, he played better last night than he has for Chooks all season. Am happy for him to have a rest and not play Monday night, as he will no doubt turn shyte again now he's had one decent game.

Those so enthusiastic about Jennings have obviously forgotten his deficiencies in SOO2 just a few weeks ago. Yes, he can score the miracle try or two, and I will be forever grateful for his GF2013 effort, but he goes AWOL for much of the time in between. I've hardly noticed he's been playing for Parra this year, he's been so uninvolved.

Fergo showed a bit of what he can do, he was fair in defense as oppoosed to absolute crap that he is for us.
Letting Jennings go was one of the few correct options we too, yes as rusty says his defense is quite good he work rate was generally crap (not all his fault) and the $s we were about to pay for him with the expiry of the Penrith payments were stupidy excessive

Fergo arguably pulled off the game winning run. They also used him as a bit of a battering ram outside back (tactic seemed to be to go hard down the middle and focus on completions rather than fancy shyte).

Fergo played well and I think he's been alright for us. Thing is... when your team's losing every week, everybody looks cr@p.

Fergo's been bold in defence this year because we have an inexperienced FB and he's intentionally lost weight so that he can do more running...etc. I suspect that when Morgan enters the team, Fergo will bulk up a little and do less work, but at a higher standard.
