Watch the first 20 carefully. We could have been up by 18 if it wasn't for bad hands. The Storm didnt know how to handle Carney when he ran the football. He was creating overlaps that would have led to tries if we could catch the ball. I thought shit, the kid's back look at him run circles around them.

Then what happens in the 21st minute? Anasta.

He starts controlling everything. He starts calling for everything, and Carney goes into his shell. and our game goes out the window.

Anasta should just make his 10 tackles and 5 hitups, get out of the ****ing way and let the kid play football.

Carney started well but was let down by the outside backs who bombed several chances. Don't blame Anasta for Carney disappearing. I think Carney quietly gave up after the first few chances were bombed

This would be great for his confidence, put him in a position he's never played before. 2011 is over anyway, let him stick it out and find form himself, only option, show the kid some faith.

You guys are right. Carney went into his shell because of Carney. Te guy is in two minds all the time.

But surely we can blame Anasta for something. His kick offs was terrible almost going dead on a coupe of occasions and that short one that didnt go anywhere. He was missing in the 2nd half too. No involvement. Mind you not the only one.

I actually thought Anasta had a reasonably good game, as he did last week. Certainly played better than Carney. But yes Carney completely disappeared after the first 20 minutes. In the first 20 minutes, I got excited thinking Carney was back! He looked slick and was heavily involved

I think it was more that they clap to the song. I thought the arm around the sholder was a good sign.

The field goal was probably more the fact that he was relieved that something finally went right for him. He had a bad game.

He's not playing his own game right now because he's lacking confidence and hasn't had a proper off-season. It's tough to drive a car when you haven't put enough petrol in the tank (I always see offseason as being a time to put petrol in the tank.)

See him try to copy Widdop's chip and chase that ended in a Storm try? A few minutes later Carney had a shot at the EXACT same thing and failed. It wasn't a Carney move, it was Carney trying to copy a guy who'se nowhere near his league, but had confidence and a team/fans behind him. I was crying when I saw Carney do that kick and fark it up...
