  • I thought they would win tonight

Headless chook declared them a cert during the week, that was good enough for me.

Roosters all up swans....7 dollar multi. Was quietly confident.

    Ouch!

I reckon the game was lost at 18 all. We have three sets with the forwards non existent in the final 10 minutes. I saw hit ups from the backs and maybe one good charge from JWH and then he stuffed it up by trying too hard.

Where was Cordner? Napa? Isaac? The go forward was atrocious.
That's the only thing that really upset me. MIA with the game on the line.

The young winger needed to take yards when fielding the ball from kicks. He was lackadaisical.........it cost us precious metres,

    Bad loss again.

That was the case with most of our losses ....said it last week ....they go missing when it counts in the last 10.
Bad Captaincy and coaching Im afraid. You dont have to be a rogur scholar to workbit out.....i scratch my head every time Hastings plays
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

The young winger was farked after chasing down French. It astounds me that people cannot see this. Even more astounding that he and not the main culprits Friend and Pearce who should have showed leadership and Hastings who was rudderless don't rate a mention.

The game was lost when shit4brains Cordner passed off the ground, and Hargreaves coughed it up in our half, trying to milk a penalty. 12 points to the cap cheats.

Are you saying it should of been a try because parra touched the ball?

The five minutes before halftime summed up our season - had them on the ropes, panicked and let them off the hook 3 or 4 times.

We are trying too hard and playing without confidence

And if we had won there's a good chance you wouldn't be on the Chookpen posting.

Shit when we made the GF in 2000 was one of the greatest moments of my life. We have good players and a decent coach.........they just aint showing me enough passion and pride.

The difference between the 2 teams IMO came down to spirit. The Eels have so much spirit & it showed they just want to win for their coach so badly.
I still rate Robbo as a coach but for some reason the players this year are not hungry enough plus the Roosters have had no luck this year on 50/50 calls.

All Parras second half scores came off rooster dropped balls and a penalty for passing off the ground. We handed what was a certain win to our opponents. Again two tries off 2 poor ball carries. Why? All 3 tries off rooster errors. So what's new? All the good work by Manu and Mitchell down the drain by inept senior players.

Yeah that's what I meant, losing makes this place much more interesting!

The 2000 semi will always be one of my favourite moments.

As much as I love our club,
I also feel confused as to why we all endorse a management structure that requires no accountability. God help us when Nick goes.
