And we've missed the 6 point tries.
So the equation is Gordon plus Keary equals Maloney..............................almost

Read my quote below from January. What I meant by that is speedy players attract multiple defenders and hence create space for their outside men. Hastings doesn't which is why he looks so terrible in attack. Keary does.

I predict some of those "solid" forwards don't look so solid without as much space to move around, and the "bondi wall" will start to leak around the edges.

I think Keary will do well here. He may be better than jimmy at his age so will only get better. He Has better pace, than Jimmy ever had. after the first few rounds we will forget were he cam from & call him one of ours, We have fix one problem And after we sign Gordon that will be 2nd prob fixed mansour 3rd now we need a forward to take Guerra spot.

A PERSONAL approach from Roosters coach Trent Robinson has snuck under the guard of Paul McGregor to snare South Sydney playmaker Luke Keary on a two-year deal.

But what it now means for young gun Jackson Hastings’ once promising NRL career is not so clear.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal just when it appeared Keary was likely to be heading to join St George Illawarra in 2017 as Benji Marshall’s replacement a call from Robinson last week left the Dragons empty-handed.
Robinson took it upon himself to make contact to gauge Keary’s interest in joining the Rabbitohs’ arch rivals after the Roosters had previously missed out on signing Lachlan Coote and Mitchell Moses.
Keary had also held preliminary talks with Craig Bellamy about a possible move to Melbourne before the Roosters’ late interest convinced him to stay in Sydney where he will strike up a scrum base partnership with Mitchell Pearce next year and play behind a pack of forwards led by Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
While Hastings still has a further year to run on his contract at the Roosters, it is no secret the 20-year-old has been on the outer at Bondi this year and it now appears certain he will be forced to find a new home.

It was only in February the Roosters announced Hastings had extended his deal with the club until the end of 2017.

At the time recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan described the son of club legend Kevin Hastings as “one of the game’s most promising players”.
O’Sullivan said of the young man being groomed as James Maloney’s long-term replacement: “There is no doubt that his maturity as a footballer is way beyond his years and we look forward to watching his continued development in the coming season.”
But unfortunately it hasn’t worked out as well as the Roosters had hoped with the minor premiers of the last three years struggling for on-field direction this season in Pearce’s extended absence.
The Roosters now have virtually no hope of making the top eight this year as they languish second last on the NRL ladder on just eight competition points.
Keary has had his own problems at South Sydney following his now infamous pre-season bust-up with Russell Crowe.
For a while it looked like no other NRL club was going to come to Keary’s rescue and the 24-year-old had even publicly entertained the prospect of switching to rugby union before a late rush of NRL interest arrived.

While the deal with the Roosters is as good as done, no announcement will be officially made until the 10-day cooling-off period has expired.
It also leaves the Dragons still searching for a replacement for Marshall who still doesn’t have a club for next year.
