  • If we let Guerra go would Matterson be a natural replacement??

I reckon that Matterson could be a damn good backrower plus he looks like he's got a bit of ball playing skills. This is something that I reckon we are missing. We need more options.

I don't think so. We would need to buy more experience. Whether or not that comes in his position or elsewhere..

My guess is he loves playing in the halves and has worked hard developing his skill set.

Why do need experience ? Heaps of youngsters are coming through elsewhere & holding their own..

Matterson could become a Cartwright type[off the bench for now and cover backrow and halves], we already have Aubbo, and Tauks is far more damaging on an edge. With players like Butcher, My cousin Vinny and Smith we have plenty of depth but Ethan Lowe should be a priority.

Could go alright at Lock Forward as he has some good ball playing/ running skill's, float and go either side with his size / speed would draw the defence a bit like Freddy did at 13. That would leave Cords and SST as hard running Second Rowers.

Because we have very few calming voices or strong leaders in our team. If you put a 20s side on the field you get toweled. Easy for Munster to carve up when he has cronk, Smith and Bromwich etc calling the shots.

Panthers & Raiders are building nicely without hell of a lot of experience. I don't think that Guerra really does much talking so in that regards where would be the loss?

This is what made me think of him there. He can play centre, half & lock. I thought of a Freddie type of player when I started this. Plus he can kick in play something that we are really struggling with.

Not sure he could pick up the workload required to play backrow so quickly. I think Nat Butcher is a much better prospect going forward. I would move SST to the second row, with Cordner on the other side. These 2 guys can play 60-80 minutes a week. Issac Lui to remain at Lock and possibly alternating with Butcher and then there is still Aubusson to consider. Matterson would be a depth backrower maybe getting 20 minutes if he was to play there.
                    ...

New Interchange rules will bring back the traditional Lock..

I guess the panthers have a very experienced spine with soward, Wallace and moylan. Canberra are doing well as well. It's not impossible but you only need to look to us fielding latrell, Hastings and nikorima next to each other. There was just no direction on the Park. Guerra is a spud and I agree we wouldn't lose much. I just think this team is desperate for leadership which is why I'm not totally opposed to Gordon coming. Another leader in the middle would help. Friend appears to panic and play off the cuff too much when the game gets tense.

Currently a blow up doll would be a natural replacement, she him off to Parra and swap him for Mau

I like Matto, but Guerra is better (now not later)

But Moylan is only in his 2nd or 3rd year. Soward is a reserve grade player now. Their halves last game were Cartwright & Cleary. So there isn't really much experience there.
