I believe the following players need to be released:
Guerra
Tupou
Friend
Burgess
Hastings
Guerra and Tupou have been abysmal this season. Both of them have now become liabilities, in particular Tupou.
We would be no worse off by throwing in a teenage rookie. Whoever that is would make less errors than Tupou surely.
Guerra's attempted tackle on Reynolds was one of the worst I've seen. It brought back memories of when we played Canberra in 1990. Players just making half hearted efforts.
We have players like Nat Butcher coming through. He is probably already a better option than Guerra.
Jake Friend has always been a toiler. Nobody questions his commitment to the tricolours. I just think it's time for him to move on. Even his service from dummy half is not what it was.
Hastings has never had it in my opinion. The bombing of a try against the Steelers when we had 5 on 2 sealed it for me. He isn't a natural footy player, apart from his short kicking game.
I like the look of Ryan Matterson. Sure he made some errors early on, after that he looked very good.
Joe Burgess just doesn't look up to it.
As for Robinson, this is his biggest challenge. It must be hard to motivate your players when they know there is nothing to play for. Some like Tupou and Guerra may have no choice.
