7s might indeed be mickey mouse. A realistic chance of winning an Olympic gold medal is the highest honour a sports person can achieve. I love the roosters but I'd choose Olympic gold over a premiership with the chooks. And he has no allegiance to us.

If he signed a contract with us he wouldn't be allowed to play another code during the terms of that contract. Olympics is before the 2016 season starts.
