With the 8 week suspension we haven't seen much of anything (apart from headlines) from Pearce for a while.

In fact neither Pearce or Hastings have the running game of any of those 4. Connor Watson is interesting but he could end up as a dummy half.
I couldn't disagree more, Pearce is definitely an organising half but Hastings is far from it. He may develop into one down the track but he's very much an on the ball half at the moment.

Hastings will create us a lot of points we just need to give him some time in the role that he was meant to play from the outset of this season.

This kid can play! However, the salary cap makes it difficult to stockpile talent.

Video: North Queensland Cowboys young gun Kalyn Ponga scores incredible solo try

HE’S the teen prodigy who’s touted to be an NRL great and is being courted for a code switch by the Queensland Reds.
And this solo try explains the hype around 18-year-old Kalyn Ponga.
Playing fullback for the Cowboys’ Holden Cup side in their match up with the Storm on Saturday, Ponga showed a mix of skill, power and speed to beat four defenders for an 80 metre try that few players have the ability to score.
After picking up the ball 20 metres out from his own line, Ponga teased the defensive line with a big right foot step before straightening up into a gap and putting on the speed.
Click on the video in the player at the top to see Ponga’s amazing solo try!
He still had plenty of work to do and showed good strength to palm off the halfback chasing back in cover before setting his sights on the tryline.

A desperate dive from the Storm fullback affected Ponga’s balance and he stumbled 10 metres out from the tryline but had the poise and the strength to get back to his feet and hold off two cover defenders to dive over in the corner.

He also wears a really nice collar.

That's Pongo from the 101 Dalmatians.
                SUPER DRAGON!
