You would have to be a real intellectual bantamweight to talk up the legitimacy of grubber kicks after one is successful in the 75th minute when leading 32-0 however some people are just not up to the task.

Few mistakes & great goal line defence...
Still a way to go but positive signs today...
Guys finally taking a stand for the jersey after Trent & Nick stood up last week...(Deserved sprays at officials, opponents & the nrl)...

Ok it was only Newcastle but I think Joey's tutelage of Pearce was very evident tonight. He had a calmness and a control about his game I haven't seen apart from patches in the latter half of 2014. Newcastle were shit but he looked ruthless whereas in the past he would sink to the level of the opposition more often than not.

His running and kicking game were very impressive.

Well done lads....a match we should have won and we did it in style.

Great first back game from Pearce....got my motm vote from Aubo then Guerra. Special mentions to Jake and Horrie as well.

It had a real celebratory atmosphere there tonight and its a huge relief to get some runs on the board. You would have thought we won a final.

          Plenty of ticks.

We have also cut our points differential in half with tonight's win which might prove very crucial come the end of the season.

The mistakes we made in games 1-8 were tonight bestowed upon Newcastle. It was like watching a mirror of our season to date. Everytime they spilled a kick, it would bounce into our hands to score....poor bastards...feel for them. Great thing is empathy

I hope Fergo is left out on the wing - Matterson a safer centre in defence. Fergo has leaked so many points this season - sure he scored points tonight but the try's were gifts

Good, solid performance. Never thought we were ever in any trouble. Great to see Pearce have such an impact on his returnn and JWH was solid and will get better. Thought Hastings was excellent and the poster asking us to sign a goal kicker has probably crawled back into the hole he came from.

And Matterson.....man, we have a star here. He was out of position but still looks so comfortable in everything he does. In Mitchell, Matterson and Hastings we have 3 young players we can build a side around for the next 10 seasons.

He musty have been on fire for the first 20 because I saw the rest and he didn't do much at all.
                      He wasn't bad just bland

Ryan Matterson and Latrell are pure class....I love having those types in our squad.

Matterson may have been out of position but gee wiz he looked the goods in the centres with Fergo on the wing. I would like Lattrrell to give it to Fergo when taking the ball up. Lattrrell was wanting to be more involved tonite but his back up positional play yet to really blossom.

Cordner was massive, again. He's the big difference, in defence and powerful edge running.

Agreed, he has just hit the ground running, its such a shame its a general bye next week, would have liked to roll straight into the Titans off the back of this week's effort

Well done to the Roosters for putting on a justifiable score against a side that is clearly using this year as a rebuilding year. The interesting stat is that both the Roosters and Knights have provided FG debuts to 9 players this year. As I said in another post, the man of the match in my opinion was the quiet achiever in Isaac Liu - what a player.
