  • Positives????

    Connor Watson Killed it
Moa Returned to form with some massive runs
    Matterson Great debut
Elliot Never been a fan however apart from that first half fark up looked great comfortable outside fergo
    Cordner The Beast is back

And next week we have JWH and dare i say it Pearce back

This really has been an if only season, 5 of our 7 losses by 4 points or less, could quite easily have been 6 from 8

Oh well all hands on deck now, no excuses

      POSITIVES:
Matterson and Connor were the big positives today.
We don't give up even when down 18-0 and being bent over by Cummins all game.
Robbo at the presser. That rant deserves $20K.

      NEGATIVES:
I think Moa is in trouble for his shoulder charge.

I thought Joe Burgess played well with limited opportunities.

I feel Matterson played very well and deserves another shot but I'm not sure where he will fit. It seems this utility bench spot has Niko, Aubs, Matterson, Watson as options.

Positive for me is that there have been four games lost this season when we have scored at least the same amount of tries - and another loss in golden point. All of them lost because of inexperience in key positions.

If we have Pearce we win most of those games.

We may be below them in the table at the moment but we are not Wests, Gold Coast, Saints or the Tigers. They are all in a worse position than us.

The positive for me was Matterson.

The negative is he'll be dropped immediately with Pearce/Finch v2.0 back in order to leave Hastings/Finch v3.0 in the side and we'll be right back to where we started

                  That may be so.
As if by some divine miracle, the winning of those games and with Pearce regularly in the squad all of our sides deficiencies and past stupidities are erased and we are once again grand final bound, right?

Positive... at least we didn't lose as badly as the Knights, Tigers or Warriors (who are all on top of us.)

The game started off looking like a cricket score, but after half-time (partly due to a blatant forward pass by Jake) we were able to win the 2nd half.

1 win out of 8 games is woeful, but we're yet to play all the clubs in the comp. No disrespect but I think we can dump on the other 'bottom' teams such as the Knights and Tigers. Today our biggest issue was that we couldn't bloody score! Our 5th tackle options were PATHETIC. We dominated the first 20 and got no points to demonstrate it. Instead the Dragons milked a few penalties and were up 12-0. Then we went and gave them a 3rd try for free right on half-time when we were in a serious attacking position. Gaaaar!!! Seriously, has another team had a WORSE start to the season in recent years? When this team comes together it's gonna be BEEEEAUTIFUL! We'll deserve our glory days, and will have this season under our belt to demonstrate that we don't buy premierships.

Had a second viewing of the game and Elliot played even better than I thought. Had to diffuse some very difficult bombs in a lot of traffic. Widdop really knows how to put a good bomb.

In negative news, Latrell was even worse than I thought. A complete shocker.

Kane Evans also killed us with some bone headed mistakes.

Also not understanding the Connor Watson hype. He puts in two very selfish chip kicks for himself when we are on the attack that go straight to Saints.

Also thought Jackson Hastings had a very solid game apart from his poor decision to not pass. Hastings has a very good kicking game and his runs and passes were good with limited opportunities. First game in a long time where we didn't give a team a seven tackle set. Hastings was a lot closer to our best player than our worst.
