I think Jennings and even someone like Brendan Elliot on the left side would be a lot more dangerous than Elliot/Tupou.
After the past couple of games we've officially got two x rocks & diamonds wingers.
Grow some kahoonas Robbo and drop a player for consistently under par performances

Tupou should never have been re signed at the end of last year, dumb error by the Club..
Even if they signed him on a lesser deal, the guy just ain't consistent enough.

I'm guessing Tupou is finding it kind of hard to swallow at the moment.

He'd look good in your old Citroen that's for sure.

                Amen.
But is there anyone else much to do them atm?

                  Friend?

We've been Minor Premiers for the last 3 seasons...and Premiers in 2013.
Much of that success due to Friend's efforts.

                  2013 we had;

                  In-form Jennings
                  LOD
                  Fresh and brilliant SBW
                  Mini
                  In-form Toops
                  Maloney
                  SKD at no 4
                  FPN
3 years younger Cordner, Guerra, Friend, Pearce, JWH

The current debacle is not Friend's fault.

How the inept performances of Jackson Hastings have escaped scrutiny is beyond me. Apart form his goal kicking the rest of his game is Shithausen and has cost us a couple of games in my opinion. Jamie Soward who is no star absolutley schooled Hastings with his kicking game on Monday night.

100% on the schooling part however Soward's ability aside, that's what experience (and discipline to an extent) brings.

Our last tackle options continues to suck badly > the predictable bombs away despite different half/5/8 combinations & a halves coach.

Therefore, one must draw the conclusion that TRobbo insists on the high kick with a good chase and tackle so the defence can be set. Boring, predictable and ineffective. The best kickers in the game JT, Cronk, Adam Reynolds & Coward kick it deep between winger and fullback trying to force a repeat set or the very least force the opposition to work hard at getting out of their own end.

                        I scratch my head

It worked for 3 years so how is it ineffective?

It's a shit option IMO. Toups gets blocked out of the contest without earning a penalty and more often than not there's NO pressure on the opposition fullback......no one runs down to contest it or time themselves to smash the recipient once he lands with both feet.

Have you seen how Reynolds & JT kick the ball deep with good chasers nailing the recipient in goal? If they happen to make it out, the next ball runner is met with solid defence and they are forced to work hard out of their own quarter or at best commit a mistake and turn the ball over - SIMPLE FOOTY, TACTICALLY BETTER.

Your first paragraph is exactly what happened for 3 years we had strong chases and the opposition fullback did not get much of a chance. The high ball tactic gives the team the greatest chance of minimising the opposition time with the football. It is effective and it worked and there is also the risk of an opposition error. The grass is not greener on the other side.
