  • NRL Grand Final Tickets

Just wondered if anyone could give me some advice if possible? Going on holiday to Aus in October and i'm in Sydney the week of the GF. I just wondered if anyone knew the situation with GF tickets going on sale to the general public from past experience? Or possibility of buying outside the stadium on match day? I've signed up to ticketek so hopefully it will be easy to get them through there.

    Thanks

There's always bucket loads of tickets on ebay the week of the game. That's how I'd get my tickets if I needed them.

I didn't think you could get tickets on eBay anymore because of fraud etc but thank you.

Are they usually face value or a bit more?

If you are planning on buying on the week of the GF the price will be set by the teams that make it.

Manly vs roosters was basically a face value for cheap seats and maybe 20-30% for good seats. Souths vs Bulldogs we sold our 4 x cat 1 tickets ($250per ticket face value) for $3000.all up!

You'd be better off getting a members code if you can and buying during the presale period. That way you'll get decent seats at face value and will know you've secured the tickets.

Would suck to come all the way out here only to have a couple popular sides make t and have to spend half your cash on tickets to the game!

Thanks mate, I am a member of ticketek but wasn't sure if these go on general sale. Looking on the internet it looks as though they go on sale around July/August. Not often us in the UK get to travel to Aus so I definitely want to catch some NRL whilst i'm there. I did time the holiday perfectly for the final, thankfully the Mrs didn't catch on.. ; )

Whooo thanks for the plug! I ALWAYS buy up cheap tickets (as a member). If we make the GF then I'll see you there. If not... I'll auction them off to the highest bidder on fleabay (and typically make 3x teh monies... which will pay for my wife and I to stay in a fancy hotel and get a seafood platter with a good bottle of red at the Balkan instead... owner's a mad Roosters fan so I ALWAYS feel at hone there).

I don't think we have to worry about getting there this year, need a dramatic turn around! Happy to have a year out to let the young lads mature and get the valuable experience. I do sense you were being sarcastic though haha

Just pm me when members release tickets come out and I'll give you my members code. Won't be going this year.

                      Unless Pearce has a blinder..

More likely than not there will be two Queensland teams involved. So getting tickets won't be an issue.
Cronulla and Parramatta fans will have plenty to sell.

By that logic you are safe to give him your code now

Look mate i spent a year in Wigan, I really enjoyed the time and my interaction with the rugby league community from the Wigan Warriors club through to local clubs across the region. People in every one of the clubs were very kind to me. If you are after tickets drop me a line and will organise tickets for you at cost as will many of the lovers of the game of Rugby League on this forum.
