He's a 20 year old half, trying to organise a team that has a spine that is mostly younger than him. Add to that he's carrying an injury.

    Cut the kid some slack.

Hastings is doing fine, it is some of the senior players performances on and off the field that is the problem

Because it worked against the Storm and his shares hit an all time high.

Thanks to Pearce and his lack of dedication and passion for the captaincy of this great club, Hastings has been forced into a role that robbo had no intention of him playing this season. We have a 20 yr old being called on to call the shots with 20 games, mostly from interchange, whilst our 200 game 26 yr old so called leader sits sheepishly in the stand. Hastings will come good don't u worry about that.

Start a new job & get dumped with more responsibility than you thought would be expected of you, with someone standing behind you looking over your shoulder, & don't make a mistake...
Let's give these young guys a chance, because at the moment, they're our future & know they're being judged ...

After the off season, no-one expected us to be at the top so soon, so don't write these guys off before they get to show what they can do...
Wabbits game we were on the back foot for most of the 1st half & seasoned players were awol in regards to leading & setting examples...
Fatigue had set in & we were toasted...

A couple of positional changes on the weekend made supporters (& perhaps the team) feel more relaxed & though improvement was shown, the loss was disappointing...
But the young guys stood up to be counted & that could help inspire the team to lift again...
Mistakes were made, but if they learn from them, a win isn't far off...

I'm not writing this team, or the season off too early...
                New combinations take time...

No point dwelling on those that have moved on for whatever reason,,,
They won't be back in 2016 to help...

Everyone seems to think when we get Jared, Cords & even Jnr back, we will be a force again to be reckoned with...
I believe it can happen before that & that they will only strengthen a foundation that has been built through determination to show, this team can deliver when they gel...

As a long term supporter I've seen worse losses & know that we will lose again...
Hopefully our worst loss is history & will never be repeated but only time will tell...

A club without supporters, through the good, & bad times, will never survive...
                Keep believing...
A positive attitude can do wonders...

Your right our 20 yr old injured half is struggling to gel with his equally inexperienced players around him, whilst our 200 game origin rookie is sitting in the stands waiting to be unleashed so to speak, of course we must not take into consideration our 200 game rookie / experiments best seasons were played when he had the likes of ordinary players like Mini, SBW, Maloney, Carney, Jennings, Sheck, JWH, Cordner to name a few, I understand now that Hastings and Nicko are playing on a level playing field roster wise as our 200 game rookie and we must demand immediate results from these guys whilst we must be patient with the 200 game rookie and understand good things take time to mature

Valid remarks. I hope the irresponsible fool is hurting.

One would hope that this entire ordeal straightens & smartens him up.

He has certainly reached the Last Stop Saloon. I think it is a given that if he steps out of line again he will be joining his mate Carney in France/England.

                              Errors Hastings 3 Nikorima 3

Hastings is not rubbish he is trying to lead the team with a quad strain & is only 20 years old, Nikorima is not leading the team & is a liability in defence & he is only 19. There is no doubt Nikorima is trying but he is to small to take on the big men, Hastings doesnt miss tackles & let the opposition in to score.
