  • tough loss but an improved performance

I know that this wasn't the best raiders side and we should have beat them but we never win in canberra and we looked better than last week.

I'm gonna keep it short and stick to the positive and negative of this week:

    NEGATIVES:

Some pretty poor line defence after establishing ourselves as the kings of defending on our own 10 over the last 3 years

We still lack a x-factor player off the bench like when we had morts in 2013. Hendo is not that player to fix this. We need a kodi nikorima type player to give friendy a breather and spark something from the middle third of the field. I reckon either Garvey or Watson are the two we need to give a go.

The loss of Leuluai is a big one. Hopefully he will be back soon as i think we haven't seen the best of him and he has a history with injury.

We need Hastings to take over goalkicking duties cause that ultimately cost us.

Napa might miss a few weeks through suspension which is not what we need.

I think we may need to move skd to the other centre position and copley/burgess to play wing. Copley is no jennings

    POSITIVES:

Hastings and Niko are combining really well. I was particularly impressed with niko who looks like he has adapted well to the players around him. Massive improvement from last week.

Latrelll!!!!!!!!!! finally. He looks like a natural at FB. Needs to work on his communication with toops and skd though.

Our forwards aimed up really well. Some solid performances from them for sure.
    Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Mate you must have watched a different game.
Zero positives for me out of that one. We were just horrible.

I don't think we improved at all. If anything, it was worse.

Hastings kicking game nikos defence both average. Copley and tupou are not first grade standard. I wont even mention hendo. Long year ahead have not recruited well to cover the loss in talent. I see lean few years like when freddy left in 04

We were way better, y'all are stupid.

Twas an entertaining game, and a close one. When you have inexperienced halves this is what happens.

          Defence was pretty bad though.

We were playing a 17 that would struggle to finish 13th. Their starting halves were gone plus they played with 12 for most of the business end of the game.

Nikko and Hastings gelling well? The 2 of them couldn't organise a root in brothel with a fistful of fifties. Nikko looks a natural ball runner, but other than that they were bog average.

I reckon we are a 50/50 chance of making it to ANZAC day without a win, and won't this place be fun if that happens!

I agree. We had all the possession, piggy backs from the ref, their best defender out for the whole match, a player short at a crucial time and yep we ****ed it!! Thank god for the kjights

I don't know what you expect from Nikorima as he has Papali and the other big boppas gunning for him the entire match. The guy looks as big as a 15 yr old and was never going to stop them, maybe you should point your finger at the other's that were supposed to help cover his defensive problems.

If Pearce didn't screw up it would be Nikorima filling that role.

Both performances this year have been unacceptable. Lets not beat around the bush.
