No Canberra meet and greet?

Just putting it out there... as a member living in Canberra, the Chooks didn't send me e-mails about the game this weekend, and there was no meet and greet SMS.

I guess the priority is on winning this afternoon rather than spending time with fans, which I totally respect. Hopefully it's just a 1-off since we got hammered last weekend and had a fairly short turn around.

in recent times fans dont seem to be a priority? lasrt season towaRDS THE END HOME GAMES DIDNT HAVE THE TEAM GOING BACK TO THE CLUB? last week i decided not tyo go back anyway? i never got to meet maloney in his time here. i nolonger go to scripted fan days as i have no great need to stand in line for an hour for a signature and a few moments, i used to enjoy a chat with some of the players, so much so witrh marty kennedy who went out with my daughter and of course was always up for a chat? i manage a local rugby team so its too similar taklking to these guts as well, especially with the kiwi accents? it seems the club gets off on the super star trip more than the players? but every year they're quite happy to raise the price of admission or charge anb extra 25$ for a cheap chinese cap? this sort of thinking has an unhappy ending resulting in a majority of 'foxtel' fans those who watch on tv oinly who dont go to games? that seems to be the aim of the nrl too?

Agreed... for those who don't know, my RL name is not Jizz-meister.

TBH I'm not too bummed. It's a perk when we do get to meet them. However, it essentially means the boys have to sit out in the sun for 1-2 hours smiling for selfies with fans and signing stuff. It's bloody hot today (in Canberra) and I'd prefer that they save themselves for the Raiders rather than weaing themselves out by signing my gear and smiling for photos.

BTW this will be my son's first footy game (he's 5 months old) so if you see a fat bastard with glasses, next to his infinitely more aesthetically pleasing wife, holding a baby then you'll know it's the Jizz-meister.

Edit: thought it's worth emphasising that I'm not angry with the club - I think their priority is rightfully the game (especially after last week) and fans will be wanting a win more than anything else.

Welcome CC. Great to have another female on here. There's only about 6 of us that I know of and only a few of us who are regulars.
And I agree, BAW's behaviour / comments have been very erratic of late.

I am confused as to why your gender needed to be stated in your post. I often have found that the people who feel the need to clearly identify that they are female when posting on the internet actually turn out to be males.
