Is there any chance that Pearcy can be given back the captaincy?
Im being serious I would re-instate Pearce to captain when he returns. I don't care about what he did I just think they should make him captain when he returns. His communication levels are pretty good & there is no one in the game who has been under more pressure than him.

Jackson, apart from last Sunday, has been pretty good at that and Pearce will take that task on again when he returns.

Taking the captaincy away from Jake will do little more than piss the playing squad off, as there is no tangible reason for doing so. It would look like the club is punishing Jake when he has done nothing wrong. In fact it's the opposite, the bloke bleeds for the club and works himself to a standstill each and every week.

Jake as captain is the least of our issues at the moment. I'm not sure why people are so fixated on it. He cannot make Ferguson look any better at FB, make SKD run straight rather than across field, or make Jacko's kicks more effective.
There's no way would I think of taking the captaincy off him, he definitely leads by example but we also need a couple of vocal players out there. I'd just like to see someone get right into them & start tearing shreds off whoever needs it. I still only see Hastings as the bloke to rip into them verbally. Cordner could do it but I really don't see anyone else..

          Nope.

Q - Is it effecting his performance?

Surely he'll get a chance to earn it back?

Friend and Pearce were never a good choice for captains. Unlike Mini who was widely respected in the game, these two had checkered past. That immediately gives them a weakness in their character that others may find hard to accept them as great leaders. They also lack the ability to talk like leaders. I honestly don't know what Robbo was thinking when he came up with this crap and the fact that he hasn't fixed this is a sign that he can't come up with the tough calls. Not sure who is he trying to appease. He should have bitten the bullet after last year and made Jarryd captain once he is back from injury. He has what it takes to lead.

Without knowing any goings on within the club, I'd like to think JWH will co-captain once he is back on the paddock. Outsider would be Cords

For me it is a - No

Define what a Captain does - the job is many faceted .

Personal I prefer a Captain who can read the game and direct play , someone who can identify weaknesses in the opposition and react as the game unfolds, for mine Hooker is "the engine room not the bridge" and before everyone shouts what about the current Aust captain, watch who really calls the plays which he REACTS too.

Today Let's watch who is directing play in the back ground and whether those around React.

Well that answered that , it is still NO.
                    No direction
                    No control
At the PTB is not the position to make crucial play calls in the heat of battle.

No offence to Friendy he just needs assistance from another perspective and the smarts to react to their calls
