    For the Canberra game Friend should wear 19.

    Des O'Reilly's number should be on the sideline.

    Respect.

          Hope the club does something extra.
          Black armbands and a minutes silence, which is never silent, don't seem enough somehow.

              The Daily Telegraph ran an article online about Des (from the Courier Mail). For anyone interested;

                  Thanks it a typo - 9 and 10 were second rowers. Des I recall usually wore 10

                    Mate , I'm pretty sure he wore 9 ever since Bunny Reilly retired.

                          Roosters to wear black armbands in honour of Des O’Reilly

                          The Sydney Roosters NRL and NYC teams will wear black armbands in the Club’s Round 2 match against the Canberra Raiders tomorrow (Saturday, March 12) as a mark of respect for 1975 Premiership player Des O’Reilly.

                          Player number 653, Des passed away at age 61 last Monday after a long illness.

                          Born and raised in Bondi, Des played his junior football for Clovelly and was a member of the Eastern Suburbs’ 1975 Premiership-winning side.

                          He also played in the 1980 Grand Final with Easts, playing 127 first grade games with the Club between 1975 and 1982. A City and New South Wales representative player, Des also played 14 games with Cronulla between 1984 and 1985.

                          A funeral for Des O’Reilly will be held in Brisbane on Monday, March 14.

                          The Sydney Roosters have extended their heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Des O’Reilly.
