  • NIkrima Costed us the game Missing tackles on Sutton That lead to 3 tries

Nikrima Missed every tackle on Sutton that made Skd run in and help nikrima and left a gap for the centre on south to put south winger in for a try

And that lost us the game?

It had nothing to do with their forwards steamrolling ours in attack and defence.

Backs don't usually lose matches. Forwards do.

They worked him over. That's true. And he kept going low so was totally ineffectual.

But he would be down the list of people to blame.

LOL didn't take long did it? ONE game and he is the reason!!!!! A 19yo playing his first ever 1st grade game, behind a truly dominated pack, and he "cost" us the game!!!!!!! Did any one realistically expect differently?

                  Well said OMR.

Nikorima gets zero blame for that defeat. ZERO.

He's a 19 year old kid on debut. WTF were you expecting, him to dominate like Thurston?

In three years time I reckon this kid will be a superstar. But that's what it takes - 50-75 first grade games MINIMUM for a young half to scratch the surface of their peak.

But if you're not prepared to ride the bumps along the way then perhaps you should tune out until 2018.

I personally am excited about this year. Zero expectations of a Premiership. Merely the excitement of watching the best young talent in the game develop.

No way. Inexperience, a beaten forward pack, then fatigue and mental exhaustion beat us today.

Aside from SST and Lui who made some good dents I thought our pack was well beaten. Evans, Napa, Maubs and Guerra all had poor games. Even from the opening set things looked off.

The rookies played exactly as I expected them to - no significant impact on the game and a higher than average number of mistakes. That is the way it is going to be for a while, although I think there will be plenty of exciting attacking football to behold as well.

I stick with my prediction that we will be 3 wins from 8 starts. From about Round 8 on, Pearce, Cordner and JWH will return along with significant improvement in all aspects of the team.

I would imagine he was told to go low with Guerra the buffer to then wrap up the attack.

But as we all know Guerra was in no-mans land.

Blaming Nykorima for his lack of experience at the top is like blaming JWH and Cords for being injured. How there they be injured!
