My heart stopped every time they kicked to Fergo.

He did not look comfortable catching. There was an instance where Baby John and Fergo called "yours".

But the highlight of the match was how Fergo smashed Inglarse after he made a break. Inglarse limped around and didn't really want the ball for the remainder of the match.

I'd give him 2 more matches before passing judgment. There is a risk playing him at FB and there is a risk with Latrell not being ready. The upside of Fergo being a good FB is it buys time for Latrell

I'll have to disagree with everyone who has posted here so far.

Fergo has surprised me, I think he could make a go of the fullback gig.

If Robbo decides to fast track Lattrell however I would have no problem with that either as I think he could handle it.

i'm surprised Robbo couldn't see the cracks at trainers.

Funny thing is, I saw Mini getting out of the lift going up to the nosebleed section today. He hasn't let retirement fatten him up.

If Brad Fittler can play first grade centre at 17 then Latrell Mitchell can play fullback at 19.

Did anyone notice when fergo went to field the ball in goal that he ran a semi circle arc to pick it up in a forward moving direction rather than just grabbing it and going down? Exactly what mini used to do haha. That fraction of a second is what got him caught in goal.

I think what Fergo offers right now playing 4 is needed more by the team than what he could potentially become in the 1 jersey. And if what most of us here believe is right (that Mitchell will be our long term FB) then it's a big call to think Fergo could develop into a better 1 than Mitchell based on what we've seen so far. The added benefit is a return to the wing for SKD.
If Robbo is uneasy with Mitchell playing 1 right now then I say again I think Burgess could handle the role until Robbo is comfortable. I see him doing at least as well Fergo has so far. All going well and if Mitchell can do stints at the back this might allow Aubbo to move to centre to keep the pressure on Copley and Toups.

Not convinced by all the Ferguson hype even when at centre. Never been the same since the second foot ankle injury unfortunately. As for our halves I prefer to see Hastings partner with his NYC team mate Watson - at least they know each other's game and ease in Nikorime off the bench. SKD was our most damaging player yesterday. Fergo needs to take a leaf out of his book. Our NYC team would have beaten the 1st grade yesterday.

I like Fergo & SKD together. They seem to feed of each other and I think they keep defenders stretched and a little wary. Fergo needs a narrower focus and to just concentrate on beating up his opposite number.
The pair have a little x factor between them and I think their unpredictability gives us added dimension. They both like to wander infield looking for extra work as well.
