made a valid and scary point about that 17 that ran out today is the best we can field at the moment, which apart from Henderson is pretty much spot on, looking through the possible replacements apart from either Frei/Butcher coming in for Henderson the cupboard is pretty bare until JWH/Cordner/Pearce return.

there is going to be massive growing pains this season and after today some real fears our season could be done before JWH/Cordner/Pearce return.

the most important thing about this year will be getting game time into our youngsters and hope they grow as the season rolls on.
Agree, i went into this season with not much expectations, so it doesn't bother me to much, just hope some of the 8 odd games we win this year, are the one's that i attend.

We were always going to be light on defence on the edges and i had Zero expectations on our halves, but the effort by our run on forwards was imo a bit weak and lacked starch and showed little energy in hitting the ball up as well as our goal line defence being non existant. Is it me or does Kane Evans look slow at everything ?

We really missed Toops and his hitups and Cordners defence, it was only the 1st game after after only one trial so the rust was expected, just wished for little more fight.

Aubbo and Moa letting Inglis walk through killed me. And it killed us.

Yeah i don't think evans is a starter, off the bench he seems better, but him and napa were very ordinary against a so called nothing souths pack.

Sezer and austin being out next next week should hopefully make it a closer contest.

How about how Pearce's behaviour and absence has cost his team mates? If PEarce behaved we would have had better long kicking options, 1/2 as opposed to 1/4 of last year's spine in place and shared the play making with SoH with Niko being the impact player running at tired players....

I've moved on from PEarce but he has left a crater for his team mates to climb out of

there is an interview with Fitzy post match just posted on the Roosters website, much like Robbo was absolutely shell shocked by that performance.

no question our coaching staff were completely caught out by how far we were off the pace today.

there was almost an air of realisation that what we currently have isn't good enough.

                            Is Fitzy still defensive coach?

If so he would be shell shocked.

Souffs first try was all guerra's fault and turner's try was all guerra's fault also. Two very soft trys.

The Inglis try was the icing on the top.
