No one needs Captain Obvious to tell us we lost that game - Canberra didn't win. But we will be better for the experience. The fact that Mitchell went to FB is a massive move in my view. The more he plays there - the better off we will be. I saw an improvement from last week but there is a long way to go. So, instead of getting your knickers in twist (Toots) go and have a nice cold drink, take a breather, open your mind and look at the big picture.

Actually, as a team I didn't take any real positives out of todays game to be honest. The fact that we couldn't put them away, after losing players to injury and also having Leilua out for 10 is cause for big concern.

After watching that, I think it might even take the entire first half of the season before things click into gear across the park.

At the same time, i'm not having a go at the boys because this transition will take time and we will get much better once our favorite trio return as well.

This thread was fair last week but not this week. We lost that game because of inexperience in key positions. Our forwards turned up today but 1, 7 and 6 are clearly talented but you cant win close games with an under 20s spine.

Disappointing sure, but to resurrect this thread this week is just a 2 year old having a tanty.

I disagree with that.
Canberra's 40/20 had a lot to do with the result of the game. The pressure Canberra's defense put on the Roosters contributed to the result.
Sure the Roosters played played poorly and should have been in front by a lot more given the amount of ball we had.
But the Raiders earnt that win as much as we didn't

Spot on - that was a magical, low percentage play. Without that, we close it out comfortably.

a rebuilding year perhaps but not having bought a experienced goal kicker to replace maloney was a poor decision by management as too their expectations of giving the reign to hastings with limited experience just diabolical, then having another inexperienced player mitchell who on debut in first grade is given goal kicking duties is further madness all created by not buying a experienced goal kicker. copley is shaping up as another free loading qld in the rwb. we would have been better in releasing guerra the qlder than maloney. our for and against this year will be way off past seasons tallys.
