Rediclious, punishment should have just been a hangover and embarrassment, that's all .

      Where does the 75k go?

Is this the highest individual fine handed out to a player?

Did the NRL outline how they came up with this fine and suspension? Was it sent out to all NRL players as a message that we now have zero tolerance and this is now a precedent.

I have no problem with the punishment, but I think that the nrl had to show how they came up with this, and how future fines will Be dealt.with.

If you go back to my posts in early January it referred to this also. That several members of the team had been living it up in the off season and another group of players had had enough.

I have no problem with the punishment. And Mitch is on notice that one more indiscretion and his NRL career is over. He can join his deadbeat mate in France if theyll have him.

Someone had to show Mitch some tough love. The Roosters have treated him like a spoilt child and hes acted like it. That all ends now and the Chooks have no choice in the matter.

At the age of 26 Mitch finally has to grow up. About time I reckon.

I reckon we should forget about SBW and go after Cronk, our forwards are strong enough,we have the best pack at full strength as it is. Cronk would be immeasurable, the guy is a total professional and dedicated to his craft, unlike ex captain chaos. He'd b great for 2 years, a superb influence and mentor to Nikorima and Hastings. We are under the cap comfortably, flog off Pearce to parramatta and we have the room in our cap for next year.

8 weeks , fair enough. Probably good for us anyway as we can give SoH and Niko plenty of time to develop a combo.

$125k, absolutely ridiculous.A quarter of a player's wage before tax for a guy who wasn't even charge by the police and did not even do anything illegal except make a dickhead of himself. I wonder how much Packer, and all the other NRL players who spent time behind bars had to pay? But at least pearce would think twice before doing it again. It's just like when we get fined $400 for a speeding ticket on double demerit days. The points hurt but the Moolah adds salt to the wounds and we never do it again.

Just heard Geyer say about the fine "you want a deterrent for other players too". Eh? And this goose gets paid for that.. fair dinkum. Old geezer in a pub chatter, that.

Hastings will be the number 7 unless he is injured. Pearce will come back & play 5/8 & Nikorima will go to the bench IMO.
Hasting will be first picked at half-back every week because he has more ability than Pearce to run the team he also has a better kicking game & he is the goal kicker. And Pearce will be a better player having Hastings at 1/2.
