Repeat offenders who bring the game into disrepute, are on notice. Yes the $125k is a lot BUT he defied orders to go home... Can't say I'll shed a tear. Feel sorry for his old man though. A gentleman of the game.

        700,000
        -125,000
        =575,000

Still more money than I'll ever make in a year but I hope it hurts a little. And eight less weeks to worry until he leaves at the end of the year.

What's the bet that idiot Daley still picks him for Origin?

We should have given the money to the Shih Tzu rescue society. But what Shih Tzus need rescuing anyway? You don't see Shih Tzus straggling around the streets in an old coat "help, alms for the poor".

                    Agree, I wonder who?

Having watched the clip, I never realised what a natural leader he is. Comes across as very well spoken and with a maturity well above the other lads.

Based on his demeanour, work ethic and intellect, if he was playing 80 minutes i think i'd prefer to see Maubs with the captaincy with Jared as VC.

He certainly senior enough and would sound alot better than Jake at the press conferences but he needs to be on for more minutes as well as that I think we really miss a leader in the Freddy, Fitz and Anasta mould that would lay down the law if needed we haven't had that for a while. The only one i could see doing that would be Jared.

So the Pearce video sold to a agency who then on sold it to the media who are in partnership with the NRL - makes me wonder if the media called grant or Greenberg prior releasing it

Most of them feel that way. I mentioned it on this site a few weeks ago. It's going to be very hard for pearce to regain their trust now that it's broken and I would be surprised if he's at our club next year.

Trust, once lost, is extremely hard to get back. But if you break that trust again, and again and again, there's point trying.

From my understanding, he pleaded guilty at the start of the season but because he was a "no name" then, the NRL did not do anything about it.
Just highlights the inconsistency and incompetence of those running the game ...
