  • Trent Robinson makes a mistake.

Trent Robinson has been told what to say, either that or he's a moron.

I believe Mitchell Pearce should be sacked because, as captain of the club, he betrayed the trust of his coach and teammates after their Australia day cruise by not going home via cab charge which is club policy and taking Dale Copley and Jayden Nikorima with him. He was the captain and showed absolutely no respect for the rules set down by the coach or his fellow players.

He can play football until he's 90 for all I care, just not with the Roosters.

Can't read the article as I'm not a subscriber.

But I'd suggest you ease off the Pearce hate, johnny. It's consuming your life

Johnny - he's not going to get sacked, mate. I think we've all established that. Not now anyway, not for this indiscretion. Maybe down the line. Let's see what punishment is dished out and we'll move on. As for Robbo be told what to say; I doubt that's the case. He's also no moron.

It's disgraceful that naming Trent Robinson a moron for his comments is absurd.... Also, for someone to be sacked for making a mistake sounds like the one who makes that comment has never done anything wrong in their lives.

I truly find that hard to believe...

The Roosters, and especially Trent Robinson have handled this incident more professionally and show a lot of integrity and respect to all parties involved whether commenting or executing any actions.

I have lost a lot of respect for the Coach and the Club after this fiasco.
There continual defending of this serial offender and insistence to have him out on the field again smells of utter desperation and bowing down to an average footballer..
              Such a shame..

Trent Robinson and Mitchell Pearce have done far more positive things for the club than people like Johnny and Lydon have ever done.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I have softened on him a lot since the incident.

I guess the PR blitz is working.

I havent read the article and Im not going to bag Robbo. But in all honesty Mitchell Pearce appears to be a protected species in most Rugby League circles Only today we have Daley not ruling him out of Origin selection.

I also fail to see how Pearce losing the Captaincy should have any bearing on the suspension handed out If anything they should come down on him harder not softening the suspension because he has already lost the captaincy As Captain he is meant to be a leader and portray the club in a positive light not bring ther club into disrepute It is absolutely ridiculous to think people are trying to use him losing the captaincy as being relavent to any suspension handed out

I could have sworn about 50 posts ago you said that you won't be commenting on Pearce anymore.

Mitchell Pearce has embarrassed our famous colours on the front page of every newspaper imaginable,on more than one occasion.

I think they keep referring to it because in the past that has been the punishment handed out in other high profile cases, eg Paul Gallen and more recently John Sutton

I too have softened my stance on Pearce. Prior to his rehab session, I wanted him sacked from the Club effective immediately.
However after hearing him speak since his return, he sounded genuinely remorseful and in my eyes deserves a final chance.
At the end of the day, the Roosters have nothing to lose by keeping him for this season ...

So you saying that the captaincy of our club is not really that important. I would have thought it was more important than missing a WCC game or a Nines tournament or a few NRL games.
