  • SKD wing L Mitchell centre

Is that the way Robbo will name it.

SKD wing with Latrell inside at centre?

Bit different from what we might have expected - the RTS blueprint, but if Litchell can defend well there and build up match fitness(with sandor earl lol) and 1st grade confidence to prepare him for the number one im all for it.

Im also for him slotting straight into FB, but it dosent seem practical. I think that fergo failing or making a few mistakes at the back wont be as personally detriemental for him as it would Latrell.

Im just saying fergos a big boy and Latrell is on his way, we don't want to break the young lad mentally.

I was hoping to see Burgess, but watching latrell and nikki should be good. Im more excited to watch these guys than when SBW started playing with us.

I think fb will be easier for him than centre. Centre isn't his position. There's much more defensive work and responsibility to make the right decisions. I'd slot him straight to fb and if that's not going to happen I'd rather him start on the wing and skd in centre. Even though I think skd has killed it on the wing I think it's easier for him as the experienced play to go to a position he is familiar with rather than expecting latrell to step up a grade and out of position.

I think Souths will be looking to put this "next Inglis" back in his box and destroy his confidence.

If Robbo decides to pick him first up though, I've got a feeling young Latrell might have the last laugh. He seems tough and sure enough to handle it even at his age.

If he's put in the centres you can expect Inglis to run at him all game.

To be honest I would like Mitchell to just take the fullback spot sure he aint learned enough about first grade defence toughness but he wont get caught out as much as Fergo.
I can understand why the coach will put him at center ..simply he is exposive from a standing start he could play the void left by jennings quite easy.
Hopefully the coach knows better than us and will work it out .

It will be SKD at center and Mitchell on the wing.

Can't wait.... just 5 more sleeps.

If Latrell can defend well, & put in 2 or 3 charges like he did v St Helens, then i'll rate his debut a success

He's up against a real journey man in Goodwin, so it'll be a good test for him, without it being an impossible task

If he doesn't score 8 up against Goodwin then he'll never be a success. Goodwin is shit.

If Goodwin is lined up on the left centre/wing then I'd definitely put Latrell on the right over Burgess/Manu/Elliot.

Everybody seems too concerned about Mitchell having his confidence destroyed like he's mentally fragile or something. He'll never make it at all if that's the case."if their good enough, their old enough"............I'm with Brains on this one, if we're gonna put him in the team, it might as well be fullback.
