That's what I have heard too.
Ridiculous. He hasn't even committed a crime.
I don't think that 1/2 season out of the game is outrageous. Let him focus on continuing to get this act together off the field. Bring him back again too quickly and it may be seen by him as a green light that he can continue as he has in the past.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

It's ridiculous if the NRL does a thing, this should be a club sanctioned suspension and be based on the amount of weeks training he has missed due to his immature behaviour. (1-2 months?)

I'd have thought the experts Pearceorf have been seeing would advise when and if it's best for his return to the game.
Surely the NRL would advise punishment in conjunction with the experts, as would our club.
Who knows the people he's been rehabbing with could advise a quicker return to his employment than the agenda haversrequire to satisfy their, in fact I am having trouble getting my head around that, what is the satisfaction they feel???
Strange days indeed, most perculiar momma.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.

After today's verdict with SKD, it appears as though the Roosters MAnagement has earned the right to handle this as they see fit. Easts did not deny nor run from both incidents. They put the welfare of their players first and acted promptly. I feel that given their response, Easts Management has earned the Trust to render their penalty to Pearce.
I've stated my opinion but also stated that I'll wear their decision and trust in Easts Management. The NRL should follow suit.
This is not the case with other clubs, especially the incident referred above by ELO re Souffs' BurgeArse and Sutton.Written and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

I love this club, the way they handle things smarter and more professional than most (but we have had our moments) its not coincidence that when a rooster ruffles some feathers, shit hits the news ltd fan and every other jersey gets the omo treatment.

For being captain and leading two new recruits astray alone, he should be sacked. I don't give s ahit if he rooted ten dogs on the way to and from that prick filming him. He was the captain, the captain should know better.

It needs saying that the Roosters' Management out thinks the NRL nearly every time. Just read they have stripped Pearce of Capatincy, suspended him from Leadership group and now they are looking into similar NRL punishments to compare against for similar suspensions. The paper named Souths case and Valentine Holmes as comparisons. Read paragraph below.
"In comparison, Cronulla fullback Valentine Holmes was merely suspended from the NRL Nines after being arrested in Brisbane over an incident at a taxi rank, while John Sutton lost the South Sydney captaincy after being charged with assault in the United States last off-season. A statement issued by the Roosters on Monday night said the club's board had noted that Pearce had missed the Nines, the World Club Series match against St Helens in England, an off-season training camp in Dubai and Sunday's opening round premiership match against Souths."

But he did not assault a woman. Steal someone's car. Or damage someone's property.
Actually he did assault a woman when she said no to his advances and he grabbed her and kissed her, he also pissed his pants on her coach which damaged her property.
Are we now going to use the Brett Stewart defence ? "He was too drunk to make his police statement, therefore his confession will be confetti"
