Smithy probably felt he had no choice with Symonds back and the way Guerra played last week. Could have dropped Riddell tho

Why persist with Riddell, I don't get it?

          Chook.

Anasta is better off playing lock and having Guerra and FPN on each edge of the field.

Odd decision. I'd nearly have put Symonds in the centres and shifted Carney on to the wing at the expense of Naughton. I think Riddell provides a little more than Naughton at this stage. Which is saying something.

Interested to see how Guerra goes although I was interested to see how Arona went at lock last week and Smitty geed me up.

Looks like we're finding out if we have the players internally to replace Myles or if we need to spend some dollars.

Willie Mataka can rightly feel peeved to have missed out as he brought a lot more game than Riddell. The same goes for Tinirau Arona though to a lesser extent. Also, what's with playing Jake Friend as any other type of forward other than a 9? He isn't built for that kind of work - very strange and quite ineffective to my mind.

Only Lama Tasi fractured his ankle to the best of my knowledge. Are you suggesting Willie Mataka sustained the same injury?
