Canberra offered him 500k a year. Surely we wouldn't offer any more than 250k.

Canberra have signed him from 2017 onwards, 2016 he's supposed to be a Knight but Brownie's had to ban him training to prevent the urge to slap him.

Cheers elo. Do recall reading that it was for next year now. He's certainly a talented player. Would soften the Cordner blow a little if we could get him.

I don't know about this signing, granted there's not much else on the market but seems like we'd be taking him on in one of his learning years which means we'd get all the mixed performances before he pisses off to Canberra.

This youngster is the real deal. He caught my attention last year when the Knights played him out wide against Brisbane and he tore them a new one with his offload ability as well as hard hits....shades of SBW at the same age.

How good would it be if he came onboard for 2016, liked our club culture etc so much that he reneges on Ricky and signs on with us

Desperation tactics from us. Blood our own players. Tapine isn't much more experienced then many of our youngsters.

We're crazy if we are basing our interest on Ricky's inflated offer for the kid. He has done something similar before when he was at the sharks.

I think we should be looking to guys like Vinnie Leuluai and Nat Butcher, to cover for cords. Tough kids who have consistently played good footy over the last few seasons in the juniors.
                  Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Totally agree. I'd perhaps support a talented and experienced player to come on board for a season during an injury crisis. But not a promising rookie who will be opposing us next year.

unfortunately Gman, they changed the round 13 rule and now its apparently a 10 day cooling off period, so if he did come he would already be locked in to the Raiders with no hope of getting out of it.

Sam Mckendry seems to have fallen on the outer at Penrith. Never rated him as highly as his continual selection in the Kiwi team says but he's still a decent first grader.

Sam mckendry is a beast. Not sure what's gone on at Penrith but I would take him in a heartbeat over tapine. Would be great cover for jwh.

Bit of a kick in the teeth to kids like Leuluai if you bring in guys from other clubs due to an injury crisis. That's when they start thinking they will never get a shot and start looking elsewhere.

We need someone, with experience, that can rip heads off whilst JWH is out.
