Heaps of talk that Boyd is going back to Newcastle but I am not convinced.. The logic to playing him for Newtown is to better groom him for NRL.. Up until the weekend apparently he has not impressed much but given his injuries, he deserves plenty of slack.. Would not surprise with our injury list for him to get some time off the bench in the not too distant future... Perhaps the club see Boyd to replace Myles in the long term..

This just hows how much Smith has lost touch. JWH was light-years ahead of anyone else on that field.

In saying that, glad to see Che back on the team and not just cause he has the hottest tash I've seen in a long time mun.

JWH kept dropping it and doing dumb things like playing it incorrectly though... we were lucky that we didn't really pay for those mistakes because we all defended well and were able to bring the ball inside their 30 at the end of most sets regardless of where they started.

Yeah he did, from round 9 or 10 I think. Up to then he looked the goods.

I hope Smith has Guerra in the run-on side as opposed to warming the bench. In last years opening rounds it was no coincidence he was playing solid by starting the game and getting heavily involved in the opening exchanges. It seemed to me that once Smith relegated him to the bench Guerra's form dropped a few notches and he then unfortunately suffered injury.

Come to think of it, based on JWH performance last weekend, he too plays a lot better when he commences the game. He loves to get stuck into the opposition and assert himself.
