I fear what the likes of Surgess/Turgess/Gurgess/Inglis will do running at Nikorima/Copley/SKD and a lesser extent Hastings defending on the fringes.

there is a real risk we go from the best roster in the NRL to almost uncompetitive against the top teams without actually having played a competitive match, especially until JWH/Cordner/Pearce come back into the fold.

What makes things worse for you guys is that you play Souths twice in the first 6 rounds so there's every chance that most of the players missing from Round 1 will be missing for that clash too.

Shame considering Keary and George Burgess are out for Souths in Round 1 so there's gonna be a lot riding on the reserves and rookies, but nevertheless I think both games will be entertaining. The Roosters won't fall without a big fight.

that leaves out toops who we didn't resign to play for wyong, so he would be there over an untested latrell at first grade level.

Maybe toops to the right with skd. I am worried about the left side defense although Hastings may be a better defender than Maloney.
