    With the NRL Telstra Premiership just over a month away from kick off, it's time to start getting excited about rugby league in 2016.
    Before the Roosters kick off the NRL season though, there is still plenty of work to do in the pre-season.
    The Auckland Nines are coming up this weekend, the All Stars clash will follow a week later and the World Club Series will kick off the following week, with the Wyong Roos and Roosters NYC squad to play trial matches in between.
    Below are the list of all pre-season fixtures:
    Friday 5th February Redfern Oval, Redfern
    6:00pm - NYC Roosters vs Rabbitohs
    February 6-7th Eden Park Auckland
    NRL Nines Tournament
    Day 1 Saturday:
    12:30pm NZ - Roosters vs Rabbitohs
    4:25pm NZ - Roosters vs Eels
    Day 2 Sunday:
    10:35am NZ - Roosters vs Storm
    Finals TBC
    Saturday 13th February Kirkham Oval, Elderslie
    4:00pm - NYC Roosters vs Wests Tigers
    6:00pm - NSW Cup Wyong Roos vs Wests Tigers
    Saturday 13th February Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
    NRL All Stars
    7:05pm – Indigenous All Stars vs World All Stars
    Friday 19th February Langtree Park, St Helens
    World Club Series
    8:00pm UK (Aus 7.00am) – Roosters vs St Helens
    Saturday 20th February WIN Stadium, Wollongong
    3:00pm - NSW Cup Wyong Roos vs Illawarra Cutters
    5:00pm - NYC Roosters vs St George Illawarra Dragons

      if latrell mitchell, joey manu, charlie taylor etc dont get picked for the nines does that make them available for the NYC match against the rabbitohs?

        doesn't matter if they play in the 9's they are still eligible to play in the NYC round 1 if picked.

        although I think Charlie Taylor turns 21 this year so might be too old for NYC this season.

            would of thought the first NYC trial match will be mainly for guys the club want to have to a look at, hard to see many previous NYC players playing in it.

              I'm bumping this very helpful thread for those of us who don't want to watch the entire sports carnival on the weekend, but just our games.
