  • QBE considering their position as Roosters sleeve sponsor

Brad Walter reported tonight that QBE is considering pulling out of their sponsorship deal that run until 2018.

They will reserve their final decision until the NRL investigation is concluded.

We survived when Samsung pulled out. We are the Roosters. We will be fine.

Not single handedly, skd hearing still to happen, jennings brush with the law last year, Kennedy banned for substance abuse, meehan headbutting and robbing somebody, pearce on a few occasions.

Who would want to sponsor us?? The clean image of the roosters has been shat pn from many different angles, and to be fair we have never been that clean. Would have to be up in the top four of bad publicity clubs.

There are still a few on this forum nonplussed or meh about whether SBW comes back or not.

It seems as though when he is with us, we clean up our act, well apart from the odd Yellow Skirt or BBQ lol....

I think it's a sad state of affairs after all the club has done for this guy and all the garbage he has heaped on it that he hasn't fallen on his own sword, but it shows what sort of a guy he is imo.

Steggles would be a massive blow.

Ahhh... we give every sponsor good exposure. Pulling out is a loss to them. Another sponsor will be found as there always is and the world will still turn.

Fair enough. Who would want their brand associated with drunks, drug users, wife-bashers etc.
It's ok. We'll get new sponsors.

I have a number of policies with QBE.

They'll lose my business if they pull out of the deal with our club.

                              Ditto on both points.

If these rumours of QBE and Steggles have any basis in factuality, it's just another reason to sack the idiot who can't handle his alcohol and who is no longer "a kid" at 26 years of age for whom excuses can be made.
