Was this cruise organised by the club? If so, what did they expect with a boat load of guys on a cruise fuelled with grog. Blue oyster bar?

From the sounds of pearce's admission he probably wishes...lol

Are you referring to a bunch of SMS' that mentions sending the video to the Daily Mail? I've seen it. One SMS also explicitly says "Thinking about selling it to the Daily Mail to end his career"

so because a woman attends a party, that automatically makes her a groupie?

Still chase the prick down and get him out of a job as in reporter.
If a reporter set him up then that reporter is going places, forget about him losing his job, he would've got a pay rise out of that.

That is irrelevant. I believe it was very poor form by the person filming it but Mitchell Pearce should not have given the person anything to film in the first place. He made the decision to get himself in to a state of inebriation where his judgement was clouded and mental filter was turned off and it is his fault alone.

How is it irrelevant? I'll bet half of Australia were carrying on like Mitchell the other day, judging by the noise on my street and the broken bottles around the harbour. Difference is none of them were the captain of a high profile sporting club. If it weren't for the money hungry perverted little weasel with a camera wanting their 15 minutes of fame, no-one would have known, but we live in different times. So where do you suggest people go to let off steam and party BAW?

Mitchell's high profile lawyers are just across Martin Place from me. He used them during the "yellow dress" incident. If what you are saying is true, and I have no reason to doubt a fellow Roosters fan, then a few people might start squirming. Yes, what he did was dumb and disgusting and I wish he didn't play for us, let alone be captain, but as someone else pointed out, what actual crimes has he been charged with? Just like the time he put laundry powder into the clothes dryer to do the washing, he just makes plain dumb decisions! Now that is a video I would like to see....

The phone records can be subpoenaed from the carrier if they wanted to take it further. I just said to my boss the other day who is a lawyer that we should never put anything into a text or email which we wouldn't want splashed across the front page of the papers with our names beside it. This is the world we now live in.

And being the captain of a high profile sports club brings with it different responsibility. I do agree that what happened on a private residence should stay on a private rest device however my point Is that if Mitchell Pearce was able to control himself and not act like a goose then this whole incident would never occur. Perhaps if Mitchell Pearce wants to act like a goose without consequences he should quit rugby league and take up a less profiled form of employment.

When a woman has half of a football team at her house yes that makes her a groupie.
