Martin Kennedy cops 33 month suspension

apparently the NRL/Asada Anti Doping tribunal has handed down a 33 month ban for Kennedy, backdated to the 15th March 2015.

can't see him ever playing in the NRL again.

I believe that this is far more damaging to our clubs reputation than Mitchell Pearce's idiotic behaviour. I have heard first hand from people at one Sydney rugby league club which does not like our club one bit that they believe our club were up to no good with regards to drugs and the salary cap for season 2013. Whether this is true or not I do not know but that is the perception in some circles and stuff like this only makes this perception stronger.

I do not deny that Mitchell Pearce is an idiot with a drinking problem and that his footballing ability has not reached the height that the expectation that has followed him and I am just as excited to see the new generation get their chance but our club has recovered from much worse in recent memory such as the Nate Myles and Brad Fittler incidents in season 2009.

Martin Kennedy's ban brings back the spotlight on the drugs drama that threatened to derail our charge to the season 2013 premiership and I believe it was journalist Josh Massoud who was really pushing for an investigation in to our club and Martin Kennedy's drug involvement apparently dates back to his time at our club which was the same year that we won the grand final.

Meh the guy's a tool and this says nothing about our club.

Kennedy was always a fringe player. He went to Brisbane for a year then came back 10x the size and was like 'nah man it's all the Paleo diet... not drugs n stuff' (before getting banned).
