  • what happens to other squad members at that private party

an angle that hasn't really been discussed yet, what happens to the other members of the Roosters squad that were clearly shown in the video and pretty much stood by as Pearce made a complete arse of himself.

how strong a stance do the club take, financial punishment/suspension/banishment to Wyong for a period of time/stern warning?

I hate how poorly this whole incident reflects on the club culture.

We play Souffs round 1 so best we go easy on suspensions.

I don't understand...why would anything happen to them? They were at a private party, behaving themselves, and then helped to usher Pearce out when he made an ass of himself. Plus, these are relatively junior players (elliott and copley) who are watching their captain acting like an idiot, i don't see how they hold any responsibility really.
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

Fined for being at a party in the own time?

        My god Fletch....

Unless there's something written into their contract about baby sitting Pearce which they neglected who cares what they choose to do with their free time.

          From the smh ,
"The NRL is already aware that the club's
recruit from the Broncos, centre Dale Copley, was at the party. He is visible in the footage wearing a pink shirt. At this stage, it appears no action would be taken against him because he did nothing wrong"

          Are they fair dinkum?
Maybe action could be taken against him at a later stage if he bombs a try or something???

          The Guilty Bystander charge!

Lesson - go out with people who can handle their drink. Cords, JWH, Moa, Napa, Liu, SST...etc wouldn't be doing this kind of shyte.

Junior players shouldn't have to be the big men and clean up shyte when they go out with the captain.

Unless they sexually assaulted a woman, tried to screw her dog, swore at her, pissed in their pants and on her lounge then refused to leave, absolutely nothing should happen to them

The club will investigate the others that were there, to see if they were involved in anything else like drugs etc. Other than that unfortunately after whats happened, its not a good look they were there

Why would Copley be blamed for anything at all ? He is a new boy to the club & is out & about with his new Captain. He would have thought that he was in sturdier hands..

They should face no punishment if they did nothing wrong.

We've all been to a party where there's one dickhead being a dickhead.

I wonder if the club sprung a surprise drug test on the playing group after the events of the weekend.

What makes you say that Fletch?

Are you suggesting we have players dabbling in drugs as well as players who are drinking to much?

Seems like a weird jump, from the outside looking in.

more a shock tactic to wake the playing group up, they all need to be reminded that they need to be responsible for their actions at all times.

definitely no assertions at any players.

I would say that many of them, um, dabble in the coke.

It's like e's back in the late 90's.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

Exactly one of my first reactions.. thought I saw napa/cords on the video, without seeing faces, only because of that wide brimmed hat they both wear.. then I thought nah no way are they letting him run loose like this
