it lists the whole squad to choose from, need to pick 5 backs and 4 forwards

I understand Robbo is going to send a very understrength team due to his desire to treat the training camp in Dubai and WCC in England seriously.

I think there are rules in place for the 9s to defeat just that. You have to include a certain number of your top 25 and maybe even 1 of your top 6 paid or something similar.

Fergo needs as much game time at FB as possible so I'd include him, the Pom needs a good run as well to get him NRL fit. Certain L Mitchell should be included, as should Nikorima.

I like Fletch's team, but would swap SKD for J Burgess.

Exactly. Better than watching cricket or tennis I guess but barely. Honestly who wants to see Braith Anasta play other than his mum or his kids if they are old enough?

Who's in our top 5 highest paid? Pearce, JWH, Guerra, Friend and perhaps one of SKD/Moa/Maubs. That's what I'd say, out of those I'd send Maubs, Friend or Guerra over.

Then I'd put our new recruits like Burgess, Nikorima, Copley and Frei.

Some young guns like Mitchell, Taylor, Elliot, Papalii etc.

Then some from our top 25 like SST, Toops, Evans, Napa etc.

I chose my team based on the players who I believe will not be making an appearance over in England. I am unsure of whether or not the Auckland 9's and our trip to England will coincide with each other or not but I don't believe that players should be playing in both.

The 9s is on 6-7 Feb and we play in England on the 19/20 Feb from memory. That means that players can easily play in both the 9s and in the UK.

Ferguson and Evans at least are playing in the All Stars game on 13 Feb and I assume they will making the trip to the UK as well, although they may miss the training in Dubai or wherever.
