On other issues, I actually think letting Jennings go was a very smart move. If we had kept Jennings, we would have the following situation:

*a centre as our second most expensive player - not smart management. Big money should be reserved first for halves, fullback, hooker and good forwards.
*little room to move under the cap. If people want SBW back and Hayne to be in the mix then the only option is to leave money free.
*a player who has lost passion for the club/team. This is well documented.
*a player who is getting old and will be past his prime within the next 2 years IMO

1. He didn't call the club a failure, he said the club had failed in its goals to win a Premiership in 2014 & 15. Which it did.

First RTS, then Maloney now Jenko. That is 3 world class players we have let go without much of a fight. I can understand the situation with Jennings is difficult because he wanted to settle down out west, but in saying that we have lost a big match winner. Don't get me started on SKD too, if his found guilty then we are in some deep deep shit. Apart from the magical year of 2013, our recruitment has been very odd. No major signings apart from a few old forwards and a couple of young depth signings. I still trust in robbo but I cannot understand how we have just let go of 3 world class players and cannot see where the club is going in terms of recruitment and the structure of our team

The problem we have in developing a string of rep players is their value increases. As previously mentioned Jenko was a very high priced player and at centre that is rarely value for money. Cordners value has increased markedly Hastings will also demand ridiculous money as most half decent halves are. Cap needs to be created for retention. Mitchell will command top dollar also as a spine player. I don't like losing our best but we can't get into s bidding war for all our top players. We have to prioritise. Also bring SBW back won't be cheap.

He didn't impress in his last season with us so I can't see why we are arranging our squad to fit him in going forward. Minor Premierships mean nothing in our game, absolutely zero. Anyone who has played the game at a decent level will tell you this. Some supporters like to think it's important when their team fails to cope with the pressure and go on to win the big one.

I don't buy that injury excuse. We still won a bunch of games in a row with those players out. the injury excuse.

We lost because we didn't change things up in the finals.

I tend to agree. I am 50/50 on whether SBW would be a good idea - and 90/10 on the fact he will be here.

But he is still a class above. People who saw the World Cup would note he is very fit and strong, and his offload is still difficult to contain. The confidence he would bring to the players around him is also very important.

I have mixed feelings about SBW coming back primarily from what TOK said.
My other concern is in 2014 he seemed disinterested at times and from what I heard it was because of lack of commitment from some of the squad. Maybe the back-to-back was too much for some. Those players are still around so I just hope there is no split in the team with SBW back.

On a positive, the last couple of years we lacked those one percenters which you know SBW will bring back.......well he will bring back talk of those one percenters.
