Don't tease like that.. I would take him over Hayne given he has a good 8-10 years left in him. However he isn't off contract until the end of 2017. Letting players go now doesn't help signing someone from 2018 onwards.

The outcome of SKDs court case is what worries me.If found guilty the league will certainly ban him. That leaves us with Copley who has been injury prone his whole career to date.Burgess a pom who has never played a game in the NRL as yet,Toops on the other wing so who is the other center if Fergo plays fullback?and what happens if fergo gets picked for origin and Copley gets hurt. You have to trust that the club has something up its sleeve that nobody knows about because this dosnt make any sense to me.Just my opinion.

The problem we have in developing a string of rep players is their value increases. As previously mentioned Jenko was a very high priced player and at centre that is rarely value for money. Cordners value has increased markedly Hastings will also demand ridiculous money as most half decent halves are. Cap needs to be created for retention. Mitchell will command top dollar also as a spine player. I don't like losing our best but we can't get into s bidding war for all our top players. We have to prioritise. Also bring SBW back won't be cheap.

The June 30 deadline was scrapped in favour of a 10 day cooling off period after the DCE fiasco. Players can be signed after Nov 1 in the previous year before their contract ends and announced after the cooling off period.

I'm not sure anyone else is available on the open market and I'm not convinced they are looking at anyone.

Above all I think letting Jennings go has far more to do with the need to secure and retain both Hastings and Cordner.

We have enough solid if not worldbeating backup with the likes of Latrell, Elliot, Nikiorama (versatile enough to play in the backs) and Omar available.

Get Latrell in there. He will only improve once exposed. Looking forward to seeing him at the 9s. Nikorima will be good value. Elliott is a good back up and Manu should be a good option as well as Connor Watson in the halves or 9. Nothing much else though should origin or injuries hit hard.

I for one feel that losing the three big players we have takes a lot of pressure of the team.I am really excited about seeing what all our young guns can do.
I have a feeling one of them will step up to the next level and become a star.

Mmmmmm, trying to recall the last time a side lost 43% of it's backline in one hit, with all 3 representative players.
If all this bullshit, is to clear the way for Hayne, then Politis & Robinson have lost the plot.
As for whether 2014-15 were successful years, all I'll say is........no one remembers who runs 4th .
I consider 2014 and 2015 as under achieving years. With that player roster, a grand final appearance was a minimum.

I am sure their heads were down more than the Titans who had no expectations.
We had the best team by far and proven by taking out the MP. We fell over in the big games. We should have at least made one of those GFs. Last year injuries farked us up. The year before we choked. But it was two wasted opportunities.
I am still gutted over the last two years and can't go around skipping and singing "Yay we won the minor premiership".

I would rather the team take the feeling of failure into 2016 than any feeling of success.
Just my opinion and that doesn't make me less of a supporter than anyone else.
Absolutely correct. Of course they'd consider it a failure. I had a beer with Mitchell a week after the GF and he was gutted. They all expected to be in the decider. The Roosters on paper had easily the best 17, yet we bombed out in consecutive years.
