Rugby League Week reporter The Mole tweeted: "BREAKER BREAKER Braith Anasta to play for @sydneyroosters at @NRLAKL9s #SCOOP"
Anasta was Roosters captain for many years at a club that he calls home.
Having made his debut for the Bulldogs in 2000, Braith Anasta when on to play 288 NRL games across three clubs (Bulldogs 110, Roosters 147 and Wests Tigers 31). He played four tests for Australia and 10 Origins for NSW. He also played a test for Greece in 2013.
For FS all these frustrated old footballers, let the young ones have a go as well. If you're seriously want to win this, you pick your fastest fittest players at the club and next your forwards. Annasta !!! Lol The club is obviously not taking this seriously or the $$$$Last edited by Drumstick; 01-15-2016, 11:05 AM.

It's one less important player we have to send over. We might see players like Mini and Sonny having a go in the future, it's good to watch.
I would like to see a Legends Nines, like they did for Origin a few years back. But not for this. I would love to see the club take this seriously and win it. Will also be good for the added morale going into the season

If you are going to bring back retired players then I think it is a great idea. However, the players should be legends who are loved and missed by their supporters. No one liked Anasta when he was with us and I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see him play again in our colours. Perhaps he could play for the Bulldogs or even Souths.

Why can't they have the two teams playing on the weekend ? Our good teams plus a legends team from each club. I am sure there would be more tickets being sold and it would be exciting

I'm not sure how that would work in reality. Most of the old-timers are not up to a full season. I do like the idea of there being more than one game though. I used to love it back in the old days when there would be three matches. I think it started with Under 23s, then reserve grade and then first grade. I used to love watching reserve grade. It was great to find upcoming players, guys coming back from injury and even former first graders still playing. Just for value of money having more than one game makes great sense in my opinion.
They could have under 40s Legend teams, knockout and the best play each other at the end in the final, basically the same as the top teams.

There are also rules in place for the 9s. A team has to field x amount of players from their season proper run on side.
