I suspect it means speculation based on media snippets - which is completely appropriate for a forum like this but let's not pretend it is something it's not.
it means it is not a secret.

Fred68, you keep alluding to your inside knowledge and then skirt away with lines like "it's not appropriate to divulge more". You, or anyone else, using your "inside knowledge" on a public forum is either appropriate or it's not - you seem to be doing the half pregnant thing.

Either that or you are just shooting the shit like the rest of us poor punters.

OK - I haven't seen this anywhere except on this forum but it's good to know that this is "not a secret" so that you can share with the rest of us poor punters. Thanks insider.

I dont know about you Fred. but Im sick of second place. Im sure Nick is too. Grand Finals dont grow on trees. we threw away 5. Couldnt close the deal. Didnt have the inner strength to do so. The ticker. The smarts.

They are the facts. Im not crying like a little girl. Im looking at a different perspective.

Smith isnt my favourite coach. I dont call him coach brides maid for nothing. always second. But Nick hired him. Explain that. Oh thats right you arleady have. Thats was another mistake according to you.

So what are you going to do Fred? Sack Smith. OK. lets do that. Then when nick and his team, make another mistake? What are you going to do then?

You dont kill a deadly snake by cutting off its tail. You behead the ****er.

I suggest you harden the **** up. God knows the club needs some hard decisions and hard heads to make them. Sacking Smith is a soft...very soft option.

OK. Lets sack Smith. Who replaces him? Can you guarantee success? because if I was the boss, and you convinced me to do that, Id want results or youd be gone in a flash. Would you have the stones to make that call?

Sacking a coach mid contract is hardly a soft option. Its a very hard option and decision to make.

Same, same - except Trewhella is not using his to support an argument. Cracking yarns are cracking yarns.

I never said that I am an insider. I am just a fan like everyone else.

Dare I be a wag and say that Coach Smith has taken a back seat because of personal involvements?

Its soft because thats what we always do and we keep finding ourselves in the same place. What does that tell you? it tells me Nick should be looking at some of the blokes in the club that have been there all through this repeatable dillema.

No offence taken. but it isnt common knowledge. Most punters here wouldnt know that.

Personally, I would go for one of either gus, bennett, bellamy or hasler. Proven winners and also very hands on.
