Jennings has been released immediately on a 4 year deal with Parra. Interesting when our CEO said Jennings will still be with us for this year. I have heard close to this, that the club could not wait to get rid of him and his photo has already been taken off immediately from the player' profiles

In tears because he is going to Parra. Not because he is leaving us.

On the rare occasions and they are are rare as roosters teeth that i have any inside knowledge, this was well underway pre Christmas and for us coming off the back of a subsidized contract propped up with the Penrith contribution, we were always going to have difficulties offering the contract length and value that in fairness Jennings deserves at this stage of his career.

I still place him amongst the great Roosters centres i have watched play - Mark Harris, Noel Cleal, Matt Sing and Michael Jennings. His try against Manly in the Grand final will always remain something special for me.

The club has built it self around a youth policy in recent times with a small nucleus of key signings of players who can really shift a game and when they get it right a couple of older players who contribute something special.
