    I'm not excited at all.

History tells us we have another 8-10 years before it opens again, although we may find a cheeky way to try and squeeze through at some point before then ala the 2010 season (with devastating results)
JWH is a poor excuse in my opinion. Even after he was gone we were still the best side for the rest of the season.

I think it does the total opposite, I think it puts the fire back in the belly.

Motivation is the biggest factor in stopping teams from going back to back, the humiliation of the last two years, especially last year will cut deep. There's been a good turnover of players too, I'm excited.

Main Problem with Cords or any player who gets an offer from Manly-is he will guarantee that players get picked for oz team

Realistically, what would be his asking price, 550k?
Maubs is likely to stay as he's good value at around 300/350k.

The way Cordner played at the back end of last season, he could easily command 550k imo.

I reckon somethings clicked into gear for Boyd and he'll continue to improve.

              I'd be signing him NOW!

Wtf are you talking about. We were the best team after 26 rounds last year. We were a conversion away winning week 1 of the finals. Take this negative shit elsewhere.

It's not really. When you look at the biggest improvers in the nrl it's teams from lower down then us. Teams above us like Brisbane, cows etc will generally stay roughly the same as they don't have the ability to buy any game changers. Middle teams like souths, cronulla, Melbourne are in a very similar position to us. Teams like parra and Canberra and the warriors that have been dog shit will start to come good. We have every chance in a very tight comp where luck and injury will play a massive role.

I can't wait to watch Hastings and fergo develop this year and maybe even get a glimpse of Mitchell in grade. And for what it's worth I think Canberra will do a Penrith from 2013 and have a breakout year.

Canberra has the best draw. But they have Ricky.

                      Should even itself out.

Would be a shame to lose Boyd now, after developing him from a raw boned 16 year old. I always thought he'd be a one club man, as he's always seemed so passionate about the joint. But money talks I suppose.

Hopefully, like JWH, he will realise that there's no place like home, and stays where he belongs - at the Chooks.

Yes a really good turnover of players... We managed to offload Maloney and RTS but luckily nabbed Ian Henderson and almost Robbie Farah.

                          We are in terrific shape.

I'm talking about as a squad since our Grand Final win seeing as that's the time frame you were talking about...

Blake Ferguson, Joe Burgess, Brendon Elliott, Jackson Hastings, Dylan Napa, Issac Liu, Taukeiaho, Kane Evas & Jayden Nikorima.

These are all players who will be in the top 20 yet to taste success with the club, there's a really good mix of experience and youth.

Didn't we also snare some bloke who is about 26 years old from a cow paddock in NZ?
