  • lol at souffs Burgess contract rejected by the NRL

lol at the vermin the NRL has rejected registering the contract of Burgess to the vermin being over the cap even after releasing Walker today, they will have to shed further players before they will be allowed to register his contract.

good to see the NRL keeping them on their toes.

They still think it's 2014 and Dave Smith is in charge.

So I suppose Souths lodged 300 to 400K per season for him? As Darryl Kerrigan said, "Suffer in your jocks"

I think it is clever of the NRL to not register players like burgess, folau or SBW, why do we want superstars in rugby league?

In better news, thank fark fox will show every game live, fark ch 9 and all the rubbish that goes with it. Best news in a long time.

Gotta love watching souths flick two, maybe three juniors to sign a pommy import.

But fark me the nrl is a deadset joke by not doing everything it can to allow superstars to play the game.

I disagree. Was the game worse off this year without Burge$$ is it worse off without Foloau ?
I think not. If they want to play NRL let them do it under the rules without special treatment

I reckon those carnts were hoping the war chest would be cracked open then Bennett chucked a hissy fit requesting it also be used to bring Te'o back to the Donkeys.

There will always be stars to step up but why would any code want some of the most recognisable sports stars playing anywhere else? It effects everything from grass roots numbers to advertising and merchandise. Union would have profited immensely off the defection of folau. Who knows how many kids followed them in switching codes.

You have to remember that Burgess wants to come back and play for Souths. He loves the club, the supporters, Rusty.....blah blah vomit.
This wasn't a coup on Souths part.

What is interesting is that a successful team causes more kids to play the game much more than 1 or 2 players.
The other effect of a war chest to allow players to be paid extra is that is takes away $s from what the NRL is investing into grass roots RL, oh hang one how can you take away money from nothing
I do get what you are saying but my inclination against pandering is probably the overriding factor

I think our game would be better for having sbw, burgess, Hayne, folau and potentially quade Cooper etc. I don't know how to make it happen in a manner that makes it fair and maintains the cap but it needs to be the number 1 priority for the nrl.

Good point, apart from Quade Cooper. I'd be happy to pay him to stay away.

Walker says the scumbags treated him like a "piece of meat"
                              True.
                              What is a rabbitoh anyway?
