I've read reports that he is wishing to escape the spotlight of Australian professional sport. If that's the case, playing for the roosters isn't the way to go for him. I'm awaiting some news story of some stupid act he's done that's caused him to quit the reds and head overseas.

Wouldn't you reckon the defensive role of a league fullback would make a huge learning curve for a yawnion player?
A lot on this site seem to think even a young specialist league fullback needs to start first grade on the wing.

I really think that under Robbo he could really become something good for us. He is a great player that needs man management.

In attack he could be brilliant. But in defence taking a bomb on the full with Marty taupau running full pelt at you ready to take your head off I think he could struggle. He isn't put under that much pressure in Union.

Undoubtedly the biggest learning cruve would be organising his defence but all our current options would be facing the exact same challenge. It's not like we have a seasoned fullback waiting in the wings.

Yeah I thought he'd signed with a French rugby club and that was the release deal?

O'Connor has so much talent, he hasn't reached his potential yet. Has played 44 tests and only 25. I Would love to see him back to the top with his footy and leave all the stupid stuff behind, hopefully now he realises this, love to see him back here
