The only thing the broncos have on us is fitness they are fresher not fitter they are capable of going the distance we have to avoid most of all a golden point situation.
We have got to pump these drongos early-no dropped ball and get it to Fergo.

I am more worried when we play at home against a team we're expected to beat easily.
In the Trobbo era, we always seem to be up for the big out of town games. I have no doubt we will play well tonight, our only concern is a dud ref's call or unlucky bounce of the ball.

Feel strangely calm unlike before the Storm game which I felt was going to be our biggest test.

Last week felt ill before the game but that was because it was the Dogs and was anxious for us to get them out of the way. Whereas today I am enjoying the build up.

We play to our potential and the refs are impartial we will win, simple as that.

I wish I had the ability to block out the 2014 PF like you

Although to be fair, that was the real GF. The other Prelim was a plodding regular season-feel game between two meddling middle of the road teams. Awful.

                1998 and last year's abortion.

In 1998 we finished 6th then beat Storm in Melbourne then beat the highly fancied Knights in a classic come from behind victory when we were dead and buried at halftime. The reward was to play the Broncos who were upset by Eels early in the finals series and crossed over to our side of draw. Needless to say we got thumped on a warm afternoon in Brisbane at the old ANZ Stdium. I think we had the likes of Junee, Walker?,Gourley, etc playing with Fittler and Lammie , etc. Good times...

It's been pretty much all said...now for the doing part.

I think my nerves are due to the high stakes and the fear of losing.

I know if we play to near our best and get a fair crack we will win.

I think that's what will happen.

It promises to be a game for the ages.

drongos have lost 4 out of their last 5 prelims & we've won 6 out of our last 7...
                    Doesn't mean much I know...
1 all head to head in prelims...Them in 98 & us in 2002...
My only concern for tonight is we are going to be spreading the ball wide & I fear an intercept...
Play to our best & we win...

we are mentally tougher than any other team in the comp. the last 3 months tells me so.thaiday was never seen in the last game until jwh went off. yep he had his first touch of the ball when jwh went off.

Quietly confident. Bloody nervous. Been feeling ill with nerves all week in fact.

Pleasing to see so many posters returning after a long lay-off.

Lots of dark clouds over Brisbane right now. Sun is peering through but looks like possible rain.

I'm the opposite of most on here....

I was supremely confident last week after seeing how hard the Dogs tried to lose to St Merge... best result with the bookies I've had this year.

Today has been one of the longest days in recent memory - I'm bl00dy nervous and far from confident.

Having said that - chooks by 18

I get super nervous about all finals matches and today is no exception. We have had a terrific season and I would hate for it to end tonight.
I hope this is Hodges' last match and I hope it is a miserable one for him!
                                Go the Roosters!
