    What do you think?
I play out the game in my head.
They will defend like there is no tomorrow and so will we.
In attack ,well they dont offer a great deal they play on the back of good defense and wait for opportunities.Where as we will throw the ball around and not afraid to have a go.This is where we can be a danger to them and ourselves.
Last time we bottled up there halves well.Same has to be done again.
They will look for little kicks and chips to split us so a bit of old fashioned cover defense must be switched on.
The great offload is the order of the day.
Parker and fat Hodgo are good for that.
They might just come out and try to shock us into bad play .Bennet will have some thing up his sleeve he knows he wont be able to beat us if he sticks to the same plan.So look out for thr shock attack from them.
For us its most of our pack but a little reserved .We miss JWH not only his barging hurting runs and defense but has few good offloads in him.Guerra needs to pick it up in this area .
Will need Maubs splitting runs .Until last week he has been quiet.
My best tip is we have to keep turning the Broncos around with deft licking and make em chase all day.Thats why in a way I welcome back Pearce if he is good is to get that ball real deep .Then bring on Hastings at stages with his smarts on the line attack.
Big night to beat them on their home turf etc.
Oh yeah for gods sake get the ball out to Fergo with big plays .Give him a little room and he can do the damage.
Hope the team brings the right attitude into this game and dont make a meal of it.We are better than them.

Bellamy provided clues on how to contain us,

Broncos do not have the front foot wrestle tactic that are natural to the Storm.

Bennett would be tempted to change their defensive pattern which is sit on your heels & hit the ball carriers hard when they reach the advantage line.

But it's sudden death finals so it's risky for change from the old coach.

I think it will be a case of "whatever you score, we will match it" approach, mind you we are the best team at containing Milford & we can put Cordner on Hunt.....

The problem with Bellamys wrestle is not so much that they tend to attack the head so much but the amount of time they take to get off players I find it unbelievable that they they get four blokes to lay on players and take up to and over 6 seconds to get off and dont attract penalties ???? .I think they will get hammered by refs this week and Cowboys will rip them a new asshole.

        Milford is overrated.
And I don't think Bennett will change his teams defensive style at this time of the year. The style that had his team finish the regular season in second place.

He will have to all teams that do have to step it up a cog to succeed

This is the biggest match of Hunt and Milford's careers to date - we must hassle them, Cordner shut Hunt completely out of the match a few weeks ago, he needs to do the same. Milford had very little room and was well contained also. With those two neutered Blair and Parker will try and constantly force offloads which will lead to errors, they fell to pieces late against us with unforced errors trying to chase the winning try - it will happen again if we shut their halves down and hold any kind of lead.

We just have to be patient, build our game and they will eventually open up. I'll back our D every day of the week!

Put plenty of pressure on Hunt especially on the 5th tackle.. Watch for Parker and Blair's offloads, Thaidays quick play the balls. Be on our toes when young Nikorima comes on.

Milfs had a licence to throw forward passes this year. Let's hope that the game managers are on their game.

After the game up there, running the ball is a good idea.

Their defence is that four players in the middle rush up to try to meet our forwards on the advantage line. It has been Bennett's go all his career and he won't change it now. That being the case, I expect our forwards will murder them. We are too big and strong to do that and, even worse for them, if we do some passing in the forwards they will not be able to cope. If we hold the ball we will play the whole game in their half. 75% completions and we win.

Be patient...our quick rucks and clever runs esp from back three will get us in the good zone enough times. But crossing the stripe will be hard...stick at it..don't get frustrated or stray from the plan.

Don't try and just blow them off the park early...be prepared for a long fight and a win by 2 points is the same ticket value to the gf.

Execute well when the opportunity presents...in other words no what ifs...must take our chances.

Short kicking game... Both to get recounts and score tries must be precise and used often.

Fergo...build your own wall on the inside lane of SKD...make it your focus and commitment to take your man always...talk inside and out...every ruck.

All...80 minutes of focus, confidence and intensity...and mostly enjoy your experience!

We just need to execute in attack. We should have beaten the Broncos by three tries the last time we met. And that's in spite of the injuries to Pearce & JWH. Remarkable really.

We can't afford to be so profligate this time, however. No more dropping the ball over the line, Fergo!

Mind you he did have a field day in that match, but that was against Kahu. Reed is a MUCH tougher prospect and rarely gets beaten by his opposite centre when defending.

You could write a dozen pages of analysis on this game but ulttimately the way I see it is that the Broncos will go out there not to lose. They'll retreat and defend their line to the death and look to pounce on any errors. No errors and pens, no opportunities just like in rnd 24.

We however will go out there to win. We'll play the power game and won't be afraid to spread the ball around on the back of our quick ptb, giving Jenko and Fergo early ball.

Given that, if we execute we win. So will it be the 1st half Roosters or the 2nd half Roosters that we saw against the Dogs? Given the dry track and beautiful conditions, I expect the latter.

                        Easts to Win.

The Channel 9 Broncos finishing second this year and the Mutts making last season GF are 2 of the greatest mysteries of the modern game.

The donkeys are pretenders. We should lap them if we play anywhere near our perfect game.

If we play to our potential we will win. We have been one of the top teams for 3 years now while the Broncos are enjoying a good season for the first time in a while. We play our game and we win.

Spot on. I also don't think we have to worry too much if Pearce reinjures his hammy early on - Hastings steps straight into the role and it then gives a point of difference in attack. Broncos have to prepare for differing styles in attack and that can't be a bad thing for us.

We just have to be on guard that the Broncos don't change it up in defence and try to stifle us (which we don't cope with well) - but it's a big risk for the Broncos to change their defensive style now. It could throw them out of whack.

The SOO comparison hype doesn't faze me as NSW as a team were vastly inferior to QLD. Obviously that's not the case here and I don't we'll be overawed by the occasion. I'm more confident than last week to be honest.

                              Go Easts!!!!
